Parc Nacional d’Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici is one of the most beautiful national parks in Europe. Situated in the Pyrenees mountains in the Spanish region Catalunia, the park is known for its hot summers. Locals advised us to visit the park during fall. They were right. The park was abandoned; only two other people joined us on the Landrover ride into the park – the only way of getting inside. It was freezing during the night and the first snow started falling. The snow, the light, the aspen trees: this park deserves another visit…
